Is there a specific wood I should use when cooking? We recommend kiln-dried hardwoods like Oak, Hickory, Maple, and Pecan. Some wood is not safe for cooking, including softwood, plywood, construction scraps, painted or stained lumber, or any composite logs containing accelerants.
